Rowing Albury Wodonga was established in 2006.

Prior to this there has been a long and prestigious history of rowing in the area. Rowing Albury Wodonga members regularly participate in events with other local clubs, such as Corowa, Rutherglen and Yarrawonga.

From our early beginnings rowing on Lake Hume in more recent times we have taken to the sheltered waters of Gateway Lake, located off the Lincoln Causeway.  Our club shed can be easily found on Lemke Lane and contains a range of boats for members to use – from beginners single sculls through to racing “quads”.

The club encourages everyone to come and give it go.  There are no requirements about ability, experience or performance.  We row for fun and we hope you will come and join us.

Rowing Albury Wodonga is affiliated with Rowing Victoria, providing the opportunity for competitive rowing for members who wish to race.

How old do I have to be?

There is no age limit per se, but members must meet the requirement to be able to swim 50m and, of course, be tall enough to work the oars.

When can I “come and try”?

We have open practice sessions 9am Sunday morning throughout the year (unless the weather is bad).

Is there a club uniform?

Club clothing is available – see here.  A club shirt is needed when competing in a regatta.
